FROM THE PRESIDENT AND CO-FOUNDER Many of you may not know this but the Marine Graduation Foundation is mainly comprised of volunteers. We have one single employee who earns roughly
$100 a week. The rest of us are strictly volunteers. We have been around since 2005 and would like to be here in the future to assist those families that need
monetary assistance to get to their new Marine's Boot Camp Graduation. That is only possible with your donations. We are a unique non-profit organization in the fact that we are the only organization of our kind in the United States. Our only mission is to raise money for Marines families to be with their New Marine when they graduate from 13 weeks of Basic Training. We provide lodging, when available, in addition to grants that range from $250 to $500 to help them with gas money, flight arrangements and/or meals while traveling,. In 2010 we were only able to help 96 families out of 329 who applied for financial assistance. That means 233 new Marines had to stand alone last year on the proudest day of their lives. Our goal for 2011 is based on last year's need, which means that we need to receive $2000 per week or $8000 per month in donations. Each week or month we get behind, means that more Marines will have to stand alone. Won't you spread the word and link this website to all Marines, Marine Veterans, and Marine groups that you know. Any donation will help and is truly appreciated by the Marines who don't have to stand alone on this very special day. My parents could not attend my graduation. Trust me; I know how it feels.
